Canine Diet dog or puppy eating raw and supplements - snap shot guide

**CANINE Diet:**

People think a dog needs lots of meat daily, not true.  It's "too acid" for them, just like for humans.

We suggest incorporating less meat per week.

Two weeks of 50/50 Veg & Meat Ratio with fruit meals separate.

Incorporate mono meals.

Eventually -  leading to a 3 x week raw meat meals if you can.  If not just alternate between fruit meals and veggie & meat meals.

Dogs do better on 25-30% raw meat\, 10% Bone e.g **FOR GROWING PUPPIES and TOY DOGS** Offer raw chicken necks (not wings) as a treat. **OVER 8 months old PUPPIES** Can introduce raw chicken carcasses\, raw turkey leg meat bones as well.\, and the rest Veggies and Fruits.

**Other:**    Tumeric\, Coconut oil\, Coconut yogurt or milk\, Dates\, Raw Carrots\, Dried Fruit (**no sultanas)\,** Nuts\, Seeds\, Squashes\, Spinach\, Kale\, Lightly Steamed Broccoli etc.

**Pulverize all the veggies for optimal absorption.**    _We use a portable Kogan blender or use a Bullet (or vitamiser or similar)_

If over 2 years old - do a liquid Fasting:   Fast 24 hours once a week.
You can start with 12 hours and work your way up. Following the 24 hour day fast, do a fruit day.

You may add almond milk, organic maple syrup, coconut shreds, raw nuts and seeds in moderation to any fruit smoothies or fruit bowls to get them to eat it.

**We also like to add some nutritional powder** e.g  _Augustine's SuperBoost powder (buy on line from Augustine Approved)_

**AVOID**  ALL citrus fruits and sultanas and rice and dry kibble.
